Area of Focus
Mr. Mereness is a partner in the Litigation group at Kamlet Reichert. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation as well as construction litigation, including construction contract negotiations with contract values in excess of $100 million. Mr. Mereness has significant experience with contractors, developers, and subcontractors in all aspects of construction disputes, including lien foreclosures, change order disputes, impact/efficiency claims, delay claims and bonding claims. He has also represented and defended sureties involving defaults and the pursuit of indemnity claims. John's practice is not limited to private commercial and residential construction disputes, but also extends to the representation of contractors in public works projects, as well.
Mr. Mereness has substantial experience in jury and bench trials, as well as complex multi-million dollar construction arbitrations.
