Denver, Colo. — Kamlet Reichert, LLP is proud to announce that Chambers USA 2010 Edition: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, has just ranked the firm’s Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) practice area as a standout practice among firms in the United States in this concentration. The USA edition is published by UK-based Chambers and Partners. In addition to the M&A practice area honor, partner Lee Reichert was recognized in the 2010 Chambers list of individual attorneys in the category of Corporate/M&A attorneys. The Chambers guide is one of the most highly coveted rankings for attorneys world-wide.
Kamlet Reichert is one of only 6 firms headquartered in Colorado to be recognized by Chambers in its ranking of M&A law practices. The firm is comprised of talented and passionate lawyers who strive to produce superior business results and real value for each client— ranging from the Fortune 500 companies to dynamic entrepreneurial companies.
Excerpts from the profile in the Chambers USA publication honored Kamlet Reichert with the statement, “This boutique firm is recognized for the high quality of its work. The team focuses on midmarket transactions, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures and strategic alliances. Clients interviewed by the Chambers review team stated that Kamlet Reichert, LLP is, “A compact, efficient firm with a justifiably strong reputation."
Lee Reichert is also included in a list of top individual attorneys in the state of Colorado which noted “Lee Reichert undertakes a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial work for a variety of companies... He is a well-known figure in corporate circles and has excellent knowledge, skills and experience."
Mr. Reichert is head of the Corporate and Securities group for the firm, with experience in M&A work for both purchasers and sellers. Mr. Reichert also frequently acts as an expert witness on a variety of corporate and other Colorado legal matters and counsels boards of directors and board committees. Governor Bill Ritter recently appointed Reichert to serve a 3rd term on the Colorado Securities Board where he has previously served as Chairman.
One aspect that makes this ranking so esteemed is the unique and extensive research process Chambers uses. To select attorneys, Chambers conducts extensive research in over 175 countries. According to the Chambers website, “The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by clients.” Input comes almost entirely from client surveying and responses. Professional researchers, who are non-attorneys, speak to a vast range of lawyers and their clients over a six month span. Higher weight is given to the views of the clients and all quotes remain anonymous and un-attributed to encourage candor.
“We are honored to have had the opportunity to partner with our clients on some of the state’s most interesting and noteworthy transactions,” said Chambers honoree, Lee Reichert. “It is a privilege to once again be named to the prestigious Chambers list.”
